Shrine of St. Thérèse​

The Shrine of St. Thérèse has views of the Chilkat Mountain Range, the Favorite Channel, waterfront gardens, an old stone chapel, and old growth forest. This is a local hotspot that doesn't get too much tourism traffic, so we recommend the 45 minute drive from downtown Juneau to see this hidden gem.​​​

A variety of wildlife can be spotted here, including humpback whales, orcas, porpoise, sea lions, eagles, ravens, black bear, squirrels, porcupine, deer, a variety of sea fowl, and the rare wolf. This location is popular for golden hour/sunset due to the sun dipping down behind the snowcapped mountains across the channel.
